Changing point colors in J-Field

Thanks to Matt Sibole for this tip. It's difficult to see collected points if you are using a map overlap or aerial. He wrote me today that,

"Point colors are defaulted to blue and are that way on every page. You have to manually change them to another color on each page you want to change... Go to home/collect/page (top middle). Here you can hit edit on any page and change the color of objects in that page."

I switched point colors to red. Voila. Small things...

Looping back six weeks, would switching default from blue to red be something simple that could be considered in the next software update? I'm doing all my collection with background aerials and frankly, blue is extremely difficult to read against any mapping. :(

Agreed: home/collect/page/edit. I've also found that even after collecting points the colors for the entire project--points, lines, curves--can be changed. Very slick.

My suggestion was to simply change the default to avoid having to tweak the project colors for every new project.

Your best option would probably be to create a project template and use it when creating a new project. Archive a empty project with your desired settings, then use "Unpack Archived Project" when you want to create a new project. Name the new project as desired when prompted.
