dealing with base-shifted coordinates

I need some help with base-shift. I am using a non-Javad UHF base. I cannot connect to it with bluetooth (using the Base/Rover) screen, so the START and STOP session buttons are not available. Thus, J-field seems to treat all points collected with that action profile as one session, and shifts all of those points every time I perform a new base-shift for a new base setup (including the points from the previous base locations that should not be re-shifted).

I have tried exiting and reentering the job to end a session, but that doesn't make a difference.

My methodology is to set 2 or more control points with my local RTN (which is to sparse for nasty shots). I set up the base in a convenient location with autonomous coordinates, base-shift it to one on my control points, and check it with another control point.

I have found that at the end of a session, I can export the session's points, and then import them (overwriting) back in as design points, and then they keep the correct coordinates. This works, but is kind of clunky.

Is there another better method to do this?

Is there a method the "dis-associate" the points from the base-shift so they keep the correct (shifted to RTN based) coordinates forever?

Thanks! Jim
