Downloading data for DPOS or OPUS

Hello everyone,

I am a relatively new user that has become comfortable with using my Triumph-LS with a Triumph 2 base in RTK mode. I would like to know what the steps are for getting the base data in a format that can be uploaded to DPOS or OPUS for processing of the base point location. I have tried looking through other posts, and it looks like you should be able to download that information from the Triumph 2, but frankly I am not able to follow those conversations very well. Here is my current operational steps:

1) I work pretty much exclusively in NAD 83/11, Washington State Coordinate System North Zone. I have created 2 Setups for the monopod and a bipod using that coordinate system. They are both setup as Rovers. I have not created a Standalone Setup.
2) If there is not a published control monument to use when I get to a jobsite, I just use an autonomous position on a set point or a found point where my base is setup. I know that when I start the base, I connect to the broadcasting corrections, and usually the data for the base point being used is not correct, that is it is from a previous job somewhere else. So I have to stop the base and at that point there is the option to download the data. I do this, and start the base again with the correct HI and autonomous position.
3) I do my work. My thought is that I should be able to stop the base from the LS and get the option to download the data, which I am guessing is the data to send to DPOS or OPUS. I do not get that option, however, and usually just turn everything off. If I try and go back to the Base/Rover Setup it shows that I do not have a connection and therefor nothing to stop. But in all my Collect or Stakeout screens it shows good signal and everything checks.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Hi Bruce, instead of turning everything off, you need to stop the base and download the base data before packing up the equipment. To do this go into Base/Rover Setup and reestablish the Bluetooth connecting by pressing Connect. Once you are connected press Stop Base to download the data. After you have pressed Stop Base it is safe to start removing the T2 from its pole or tripod but do not turn it off until that data has finished downloading. Once the data has been downloaded you can use the DPOS tool found in Cogo to submit the data to DPOS and update your base position and adjust the coordinates based on that base setup. Note that you will need to wait sometime before submitting the data as CORS data isn't immediately available.

I knew I was missing something! It just seemed weird that no connection was showing. So I just need to reconnect then stop the base and download? Simple and easy. Thanks Matt!
