DPOS with several base sessions help

I normally DPOS my job when I only have 1 base setup. I now have 3 base sessions and I want to DPOS the job to get an accurate Elevation and coords.
I did download the base from the first session, so that one is ready to DPOS. I used to have a cheat sheet that told me what buttons to click to make all three base sessions meld into one.
Could someone please walk me through the steps to have all three base sessions DPOS'ed correctly?

I approach this from two different angles….if my first base session is 6-8 hours typically my following base sessions of equal duration usually are within 0.04’ so I may just rock on with session one base coordinates.

Since you are chasing the best possible values you can average the results into one “best value” and create a design point. You can then shift each session individually to this averaged value using M-local. I will say that if I had 2 long sessions that jived well and a 3rd session was 3 hours or less I might not use that value as you could actually degrade your position. Look at the Dpos reports…RMS values is about all a simpleton like me looks at.

Email me at wjhand@gmail.com if you need me to get on RAMS and I can help you with it.

Wes is right on. It's a shame that this process was never "slicked up" in a more automated way, but all of the pieces are there for the user to combine multiple solutions (by a weighted average) and adjusting each session to that position.

Thank you for the responses but I was wanting to know how to make sure all the base sessions are adjusted the same. As in, Base session 1 (point #1) has points 2 through 112 associated with it. Base session 2 (point # 113) has points 114 through 144. Base session 3 (Point #145) has points 146 through 200. Tell me if I am wrong, but when you DPOS with Point #1 don't you have to click something that tells it to add Sessions Base#113 and Base#145, so that it adjusted all the points relative to Base#1? I know I used to do this but I lost my cheat sheet telling me the steps.

Please read the 2nd portion of my initial reply….that’s how you do it and I will be more than happy to help you if you will email me your phone number. We can go through the process via RAMS. Will be after lunch EST before I’m available.
