Electronic noise in the LS

I have been told that the LS has a little electrinic noise in it, that makes the size of the coord pile larger than normal.
Question: does use of an external gnss antenna make this grouping smaller, and if so, how much, and does this make the final coord more accurate.

I believe this noise is compensated for as part of the interference scan.
