Localization Issue, Screen Clicking Issue

Localization Issue:

I was trying to Localize the LS using ITRF2008 and my local 50000,50000 system on a 2000 acre ranch. After localizing on three points about 3000’-5000’ from each other, I staked the localized points for a check and found a DN.10 and DE0.77. I have used these points for 10 years, originally surveyed with Topcon Hiper Lite and checked many times with new localizations so I know they are good.

I called Shawn Billings and he had me perform a one point Localization. We found that the North Ground and East Ground Coordinates in the Setup Localization Parameters were off the same DN.10 and DE0.77 +/- from the Ground Coordinates that I uploaded for that point. My question is, why are the coordinates changing? Please fix this, it is a huge problem.

My work around was to use a one point localization and change the North Ground and East Ground Coordinates in the Setup Localization Parameters to the imported point coordinates. I then used the Rotation and Scale difference form the three point localization previously performed. I checked into previously surveyed points and all checked within 0.05’. It’s interesting that the Localization Screen showed the same DN.10 and DE0.77 after I changed the Parameters.

Screen Clicking Issue
My screen will randomly click through screens on its own. 4 pushes of the AV button (Touch Screen Calibration) would temporarily fix it. I thought that there might be some dirt or a small rock at the screen edge. I have cleaned the edges and it still happened. Not consistently but every once in a while.

I updated the LS today and surveyed a known tract. The localization worked and I am off and running again. Thanks for the
quick turnaround for the fix and the product support.
