Localize/translate

So I looked through the posts and didn't quite see what I wanted. Please point me to the correct spot if I missed it and I apologize in advance if did. I DO so hate multiple posts on the same subject.

A typical project for me will involve setting up a random point on my site where I have good sky. If I think I might have any gun work (multipath issues, lots of heavy tree cover, etc.) I will set a second point somewhere as a good backsite. I will just use an autonomous position for the base. This whole process lets me keep any local control point available for other surveyors to use, and also lets me keep an eye on my base as I am a bit paranoid about getting it ripped off. I then will tie into a local control point. I would like to be able to adjust my random base point now to the local control, and have all my work adjusted as well. I know there is a way to do it (single point localization?), but I just can't seem to find the right instructions.

Thanks for any help!

Shawn, both the autonomous and record are NAD83/11, Washington Grid North Zone. I have been just waiting, then dumping the points into my computer and doing a simple translation. Then uploading new points back in. I end up with all Design points doing it that way.

Shift or Move is what I use for translating Design search points in the field, will that work for Survey points also then? And will it shift the base while it's operating or do I have to shut down first?

Actually, are Shift and Move the same other than the input parameters (delta X,Y,Z versus bearing and distance)?

See the link. This shift is found in collect action screen. Select button marked point. Change to shift. Follow prompts. Apply shift and switch back to point. All points collected from base before and after shift will be translated. You will see a notice at the bottom of the screen indicating a shift is being applied to your points as you collect them.
