Minor Issues with LS

I am having two small issues with my LS, neither seem to be critical. (1). When I execute the Points Command the JAVAD Magnificent 7 pop-up appears. When I attempt to register a click in the small box in the lower left corner to not show this help screen the LS is unresponsive. I hear the click but no action is taken. I have gone to Setup and toggled this feature on and off to avail. (2). I am unable to charge the J Tip through the USB port on the LS as I was with the previous LS. I can charge the J Tip with the USB ports on the PC in the office as well as the USB port in the truck, so I don't think there is a problem with the cable, maybe the port? Again, neither seem to be critical at this point, but I am concerned these actions may point to something else. Currently running JField 2.0.5.750. Thanks for any help.

I'm on the same version.
Suggestion: Hard reset. (Hold on button, down, till it shuts down) Then, restart, as normal.
And, change jobs, to another job file. Then, hard reset.
I am not seeing either issue on mine. A long time ago, John Evers suggested that after EVERY update, that a hard reset be performed. Shawn Billings, says he does not always do this...
However, I think the hard resets have helped me some.

Thanks Nate, the reset cleared up the USB port issue, but not the pop up.

Nate, I tried your suggestion of a forced update on Windows CE and then J Field, but no cigar on the pop-up. I then did a forced update on all of the software, again no cigar. Thanks for the help from you and Shawn. I will stand by and see if any other suggestions come forward. By far the best equipment I have ever be fortunate enough to run!

Nate, I don't see issues. Maybe you have touch screen glitches that prevents any click?

Eugene, thank you for the reply. As noted in the above discussion I had with Nate, I have forced updates on all of the software and I am afraid I have reached the end of my level of ability. This issue is minor and in no way seems to affect the performance of the LS, just annoying each time you access the point screen. Any thoughts you have as how this can be fixed would be appreciated, short of having to return the unit. Thanks again for your help on your Sunday!!

It must be relly annoing... I just curious how that happens because I don't see this issue and didn't hear this reported from anyone. I checked with my LS and did not meet any problems too.
I can click over the checkbox and message disappears on the next entering to Points. Then I can go to Setup and reset state to see the message again.
Do you change the project and then it appears, or it unbehave in terms of current project?

Eugene, thanks for the reply. It behaves the same in the current project, a newly created project, or an unpacked archived project. I can toggle back and forth within Setup to show or not to show and still have the same effect. One thing I did notice that differed between projects was when the Points screen was invoked and the pop-up help screen appeared, the OK box was blue in two projects and white in the other? All three still reacted the same in that I could not get the pop-up to not appear each time the Points were activated. I have set all of the fields under what to record/record in, to internal memory for each of my action setup survey styles, I did this due to an earlier error message I was getting in regards to the SD Card. Do you think this may be part of my trouble? Thanks again for your help!
