Reduced battery life on Triumph-1M

Last week we were in the field when our T-1M base ran out of power after about 7ish hours.

After charging overnight, I connected to it with Netview & Modem and checked the battery voltages:

Battery voltage A= 7.93V
Battery voltage B= 7.83V
Board Voltage= 7.85V

Is it time for a replacement battery pack? http://www.javad.com/dynamic/Shop/Product/2894

Will setting up the HPT435BT next time we are in the field extend the battery life of the base station?

Yes using your external radio will improve base life. The internal UHF radio puts a considerable drain on the batteries.
