Saving mag data?

While occupying the fleeting moments of spare time I have in the evenings mind-melding with my shiny new LS+, I've managed to get a good handle on quite a few of the functions and features of that magnificent beast in preparation for actually getting some work done with it one of these days.

One of those exercises has been getting familiar with the J-Tip. Though I think I have a reasonable handle on how to operate it and interpret the data, I can't for the life of me figure out how to SAVE that data. The manual vaguely states that the data "...can be saved and recalled..." and "When scanning is stopped, mag data is processed...". And that's about it.

So, how in the wonderful heck does one go about stopping the recording and subsequently saving the data? Do I need to be staking a point before turning the J-Tip on, long pressing something, stopping the process from a different screen, balancing on one leg, or otherwise? Surely in my eagerness to learn everything all at once I've missed the big red STOP button somewhere...
