Special Mounted Circle Level, 40m (RED) replacement kit

I am looking for a recommended procedure for the replacement red bubble on the Benro - Javad Triumph rover rod. Mine was riding on the back of my ATV with some other equipment when it came into contact with something that broke the red glass bubble. I ordered a replacement, and the kit came with a new circular level, three screws, and a tube of red Loctite. When I was removing the broken circle level, I was holding the rod upside down, and gently tapping on the bottom of the dual bubble holder when the old unit fell out. I did not see anything else fall out except the circular level. In the past, I have replaced broken levels, and I used a little piece of rubber band or the rubber washer that was underneath the circular bubble to assist in adding pressure between the screw heads and the bottom of the circular level. Unfortunately, I did not see anything else fall out, nor was anything on the floor. So, my question is this: if someone has done a replacement, what did you do next? I can cut a small piece of rubber band to go under the dimple on the circular bubble, insert the three screws, and go through the leveling procedure. OR, I can leave the rubber band out and utilize (sparingly) the Locktite on the screw threads and level up. I have seen rubber bands go brittle over time, so this method may not be the best. I do not think there was a thin rubber washer or gasket underneath the circular bubble - I cannot find it if there was one, and there was not a replacement in the kit. The Locktite should work fine, and immediately going through the leveling procedure will be a must. There won't be much adjustment made after the Locktite sets, so it has to be right the first time.
I am looking for advice and recommendations from this point on from those who have had to do this. I will be more careful next time!
Thanks in advance.

My opinion is to not worry about trying to use the rubber band or washer method. The dimple in the middle along with the lok tite should take care of you with no issues. You have more time than you think with the lok tite setting in. I’d still keep an eye on the setup on a regular basis to make sure all is holding correctly
