Today while staking a corner under full canopy, I had trouble getting and keeping a reliable fixed solution. I would obtain a fixed location briefly and then go back to float only to get another fixed location a couple of feet away and then loose that to. So my solution was to set a couple of nails in the area and locate the nails as usual, letting the LS sit on each nail until the good RTK and RPTK location could be determined. I measured between the nails to verify the inverse from the shots, then set my corner by swinging arcs from the nails. I then occupied the rod and was able to obtain good fixed RTK and RPTK shots, also at this time was able to verify the stakeout location.LThis picture shows the nails used.
