T3 - Base has moved notification

We are getting an error message that the base has moved during our work. Thinking that the legs have become animated and went for a stroll, we rush back only to find that it is still set up enjoying the scenic views of the current project. We've checked into previous shots and everything is checking. What would be causing this and is this something that can be dealt with without sending it in?

Thanks in advance
Dave

Dave, give me a call when you have time at 501-620-0608. We can adjust your "Base Guards", they may be to stringent.

Calibrate your base levels and compass.
I do not believe the base needs to be level....just needs to be stationary. I often utilize a random setup on a magnet mount on the headache rack of my truck to keep it out of reach of meddling hands. A tripod settling or like Nate mentioned, a strong wind could cause enough movement to trigger the warnings.

Did not some of the early ads for Javad mention "who moved my base?". I think it may compensate for the movement and adjust its position to correct it's position on the fly.

Maybe someone that knows will chime in and correct or confirm my ramblings

This is from an old discussion thread, but might be relevant to your issue.

From Shawn Billings:
Regarding the warning message, I've found that the Anti Theft Guard is the least reliable monitor we have. I use the base guard feature, I just turn off the anti-theft guard. The other three detection methods are better in my opinion: tilt, Doppler shift and accelerometer. It's very unlikely for the base to move without these sensors detecting it and they are less prone to occasional false alarms.

From Matt Johnson:
See http://www.javad.com/jgnss/javad/news/pr20170906.html. The screens have changed slightly since this publication but you get the idea.

Thank you, we turned off the station guard altogether, we are now getting error messages about DPOS, is this down again? Sorry, this was supposed to alert me through emails when responses came through and no alerts.

Dpos seems to take a day of lag time before it will process now... previously it was a matter of hour at the most
