UHF antenna on LS+

We use the LS+ on TCP only. We have the spread spectrum module installed but our cell coverage is pretty good. Hence we do not use the UHF. I believe Matt Johnson told us that the LS+ does not transmit so not having the antenna on would not fry the Spread spectrum module if the antenna was not on the unit. The reason I ask is if I do not have to have the antenna on the UHF that one less thing to hang up in the brush by just putting the cell on the unit. Any thoughts? Mike

Depending upon which modem is installed in the unit, the radio has the capacity to transmit if the unit is configured as a base. There is no need to attach the external radio antenna if the radio is not being used and the radio antenna is not configured to the external antenna.

Matt, We never use the LS+ as a base. Do I need to check the radio configuration in the LS to make sure the radio is not set as an external antenna?
