UHF Radio signal goes red frequently

Over the last couple weeks my LS (300723) looses its radio connection to the base. The Radio window will go red for minute or so then return after several instances of this over the next 1/2 hour it stays red and will not come back. At first I thought it was interference but it happens over my entire work area ( radius of 35 miles from home). Have never had any interference issues before. (very rural area). It runs about 45 min to an hour then looses connection. I suspect some component failure that takes a bit of time until the unit heats up. Several times have gone to another project site a 1/2 hour away and it will start up and run for a while. It is becoming an issue though with projects that span a full day. I have tried both a Triumph T1m and my older T1 as base stations, and does the same with both which seems to indicate the issue is with the LS. Has anyone else have experienced this?

I have had the same issue. I sent my 1M back and they said they could not find anything wrong with the radio but I had them install a new one anyway. Once I get it back in a few days I will see if the problem still exists. If it does then I will be like you and suspect something in the LS. Also no possibility of interference in my situation.

No external radio, correct? Just Triumph 1/1M and Triumph LS? I would typically suspect the battery at the base would present the symptoms you are experiencing.

Like I said, I would suspect the battery in an external radio. I'm not sure about the how the internal battery with internal radio would look if the internal battery was getting weak.
