What size fuse is a 35 watt radio supposed to use?

I had a 15 amp one, reversed the polarity, and blew a part inside the radio. (Perhaps a diode?).
What size fuse is recommended?
And, if it had this recommended size, would it have blowed the fuse, instead of the diode?

Thanks, Nate

The HPT485BT radio-modem configured to use 35W Tx power needs 120W (IE: at 12Vdc = 10amps).

However the 'polarity' of the input supply voltage 'must be correct' otherwise a 'reverse input voltage' will damage the HPT485BT radio-modem unit for sure.

That would seem to be a design oversight. Reverse polarity protection is relatively inexpensive, and reversing polarity isn't hard to do (just ask Nate!).
