Until a couple of days ago I hadn't had any trouble selecting a WiFi network connection, but my experience was so frustrating that I could use some help
One of my clients is the local university (UC Davis), and in the core area -- where the academic buildings are clustered -- there are dozens (if not hundreds) of WiFi access points, all of which require passwords I don't have. I wanted to connect to my phone's hotspot, but every time I tried to select it the list would refresh and the order of hotspots would change, preventing me from connecting. It felt like I was playing a video game, chasing my phone's entry as it jumped up and down the list. After several minutes I was able to nail it down long enough to connect, but it wasn't a happy situation.
Is there a way to select the network from a favorites list, or to otherwise filter the available networks list so it's not populated by several pages of networks? (I tried to select from my favorites list -- my phone is on it -- but wasn't successful.)
