Thanks Adam!
I take it Michael is no longer with Javad?
Hi Jim,
Yes, Mr. Glutting is gone. Not sure if I will miss him or not. I did not receive the sort of support that I feel I was due from Michael.
Jim, you and took delivery of new Javad units. courtesy of Micheal Glutting in the offices of JAVAD GNSS in San Jose on the same morning back in 2014 or thereabouts. I am much older and heavier now than back then. How long did your original owners manual last? Mine: 4 days. lol.
Seriously, give the RTPK option a look. I have historically not received faulty data from my system. If conditions are too poor to get an easy fix, the system doesn't give me a bogus value. It is frustrating not to get a solution often times, but getting a bad solution is worse. RTPK appears to provide an additional check independent form the regular data collection.
If a solution obtained does not match with the RTPK solution, I throw it out and remeasure. Hasn't bit me yet. Especially when using my TLS+ with a a good T-3 base. Heavy canopy is much less of an issue now with RTPK. I don't know how it can, basically, perform a DPOS session during the data collection, but it is.
