Bitten by the rod height again

Changed/raised the rod for 1 shot, got distracted (there is a lot of schtuff in my noggin) and forgot to change it back for the next 30 shots.
Is there a chance that the temporary rod, one time rod height, or the ability to enter the rod after the shot is complete (then revert back)before acceptance idea will get implemented?

elevation screw ups have got to be the #1 cause for litigation and financial pain for surveyors, (mostly inexperienced party chiefs)
excellent idea Nate, self reading blue tooth rod, if they can automate levelling with bar codes why not a pole?
just need markings and a sensor.

The antenna height is locked when the Start button is pressed. It would be very complex to try and change the antenna height during the middle of an observation. A point's antenna height can be edited after the point is stored from the edit screen for that point. This will adjust the coordinates for that point.

I now remember the bigger problem for me: changing the antenna height after the point is stored didn't change it in the g-file. Is that still the case?

G-file exports should work correctly except the case when a base point with an autonomous position has its antenna height edited. See https://support.javad.com/index.php?threads/antenna-height-blunder.1646

@Vladimir Prasolov had thought that it was not neccessary to edit base station coordinates when they have an autonomous position.

No, it's because positions have already been averaged once you press start. What to do about all of the previous epochs is the issue I believe, particularly if tilt compensation is on.

Nate, it is still on the do list to allow the antenna height to be edited while Accept/Reject is displayed when correct for tilts is off.
