Defcode Default

When I store a shot the Defcode defaults to a code that I have set up in the list and I need to change it between every shot. As you can imagine this is kind of a pain when shooting a string of points with the same code.

For example if I'm shooting edge of pavement, I'll change my code to "EP" and store the shot...Once I hit the accept button I'll hear the screenshot noise and it will return me to the collect screen but the code has changed from "EP" to "G" (my code for a ground elevation shot).

I've tried restarting and rebooting the LS+ and even deleting the "G" code but it still defaults back to "G" between every shot.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

You have a sequence or a template set up. You need to clear that out. I am not as familiar with those setting. I know John Evers knows more about those settings.

The Auto Sequence setup is found in Setup > Codes & Tags > Auto Sequence.

There is a Clear All button that can be used to reset this.

Clearing the auto sequence codes DID NOT work. I used the auto sequence on one project about a year ago and seem to remember turning it on/off someplace without having to go into Setup > Codes & Tags > Auto Sequence...maybe from the collect screen somewhere. I could have fat fingered something while taking a shot...if not does anyone have any other ideas?

Maybe give this one a try:

Home>Setup>Actions>Options>Revert Code to Shape Tag

This setting will need to be set to each individual action profile.
