Exporting files

Still new to this equipment. It's not very user fiendly. I collected my points, and now I want to send them to my laptop. I've tried using blue tooth, but it does not recognize my laptop. I tried a USB thumb drive, but it too is not recognized. I also tried exporting the files to a micro USB chip, but that is not recognized by the device either. (it's also a pain to insert and remove the micro USB chip). It seems the only place I can export a file to is the internal memory.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Update:
After multiple attempts to connect via USB, micro usb chip, bluetooth, I'm able to see the files, but just not able to "paste". I'm guessing there must be some sort of long hold button press or something to copy and paste a file?

I've also tried "batch export" with the same issue.

Thanks again.

I believe I have found the issue. My screen lacks an execute command, or more specifically "export". Either that or it's just my lack of experience with Linux.

This is what I'm referring to. This is the screen I get when exporting. Notice there is no button to "export".
Possibly a bug in the software?

Also, it would be excellent if there were a way I could export the file to my phone or another device while I'm out in the field finishing up a job. I'm sure there's got to be a way to do this to help save time.

You can also connect it to your google drive or dropbox for storing and transferring files as well. To setup Google Drive go to System>Drop Box/Google Drive and then follow instructions.

If your LS cannot "see" the thumb drive, try another brand of thumb drive. From the ABOVE screen shot, hit the UP arrow, in the top middle of the screen. See if it appears.

Hi Mark,

The issue here is that you are still in the System Root directory. Notice the screen says "Save in: (System Room)" You need to press the Open button in the top line of the screen and then you will be able to export the file to the USB drive.

You can also use RAMS to export files:

http://javadgnss.net/rams-viewer/
Use Server: rams.javad.com:8800

You can connect to RAMS through your phone and other devices.

Mark. Once you pick whatever media you are going to use i.e. USB, gdrive, dropbox...etc. You have to hit the open button on the top. Then you can proceed. If you look at the file path at the bottom. Save in: (system root) means you haven't committed to a location. An example is when you select a drive in your computer that highlights the drive but then do nothing else and wonder why it's not opening. Hit open and then you will hit next. I would love to help you if you ever get in a bind. Five zero one - two five zero - four two two nine.

Matt beat me to it!
Data transfers between the TRIUMPH-LS and and PC are facilitated through using either:
a network drive with an Ethernet connection;
or a USB cabled connection;
or a USB flash drive;
or a cloud drive.
