Has anyone set up the LS for FTP? What PC software are you using?

My understanding is that the Javad FTP service is public, yes? I really need something that is secure and only accessible by me.

I would rather FTP my point files either from the field through a cellular connection or office wifi than using a usb device.

Currently the FTP Server is only for saving screen shots to a server. The ability to do wireless file transfer is currently being worked on.

This looks like a good opportunity to put in a request with the developers for a change in the virtual keyboard on the Triumph-LS where the user is asked for the server's IP when frequently, that address becomes deprecated and cast into something like ftp.panocea.us to which then I might create /public_ftp/test beneath it. Would it be possible to add the alpha to the numeric bits on the keyboard?

I'm unclear on a file transfer issue.

The LS has the option to mount a network share. Is it possible to transfer point files through my local network?

Yes with this feature you can import and export point files through a local network.

Hi Jim,

Just a quick update in regards to tests this morning with the current development version, and after filling in all of the applicable fields in the screenshot above, while I was on the phone with Cory, the awesome and patient tech guy at my host provider (JustHost.com), and we confirmed that nothing is getting to my server. So as Matt said at the start, this is still under active development.
