Identifying Adjusted Files and Appended file name

Gentlemen,

Recently there has been a series of digits appended to each file name. What is the naming convention?

How do we associate a base point to the project file before/after DPOS processing? Does the appended filemname change after adjustment?

It would be great if the base point detail described the proj project file name as well. I believe it did at one time.

Thoughts?

Ditto Jim;
I downloaded a base file today and had some trouble picking it out from other files on the LS.
At first I was concerned I had an error (user or otherwise) and might not have the 2 hour base file I collected.
Was looking for it at the end of the 2 page list as the newest file and as it turns out it was with the older files on page 1.
How does the file naming convention work now?

I'm not sure about the naming convention. I will try to find out. The biggest things that I see need to be done are:
  • add an option in the DPOS tool to filter displayed files for only the current project
  • list the associated projects with each file in the blue box

Hi Sean,

As a temporary workaround I am using a unique base point name that is associated with the project rather than a base point number.

Yes. I completely agree Matt.

I reread my post above and the last paragraph isn't clear. The base point detail I was referring to is blue box in the DPOS tool that describes the details associated with a particular base point file. Initially the project file name was indicated at the bottom of the blue box. You were required to scroll to the bottom of the box to see the name. Apparently that was changed on a subsequent update.

It would be great if the project name was added to the blue box details and it was listed near the top of the detail so we aren't required to scroll to the bottom of the list when searching for a base point file.

Recently I've been doing the same thing Jim. I use something like: Base1_G15001 where Base1 is my first base point in the project and G15001 is the project name.
