I'm struggling with the entry of lines and arcs in the LS

Is there a way to simply key in a sequence? I know the point numbers. I want to enter the numbers, in a continuous polyline. Then, save this polyline. Then, go to the field, and STAKE this polyline. I want a toggle to go clockwise, or CCW. I want a toggle to select points, or lines. This way I can tell it points, and it will take me to the next point, Then I hit lines, and it simply tells me Left Right, and puts me on the lines. While I go around, I can toggle one more button, and it will show me where I am.

I'm used to a spreadsheet format.
133,134,163,336,161,CR160 (Curve Right to 160) It asks for radius length, (___) or Radius Pt number? (___), 343-346 (lines go 343,344,345,346) 166, 133.
Now, we have the area. And, we can stake this.
Selecting them from a cluttered screen, with NO point descriptions is difficult.

From HOME, then POINTS

All I want on the screen (left Pane) is the Point Number-Name, and the Point Description following it.

From points screen,Click button with 3 horizontal green lines on the right of the screen above the point data. Click settings, click the dark blue box to toggle thru the display options. There isn't a point name and description only option, but if your not using codes it will display only point name and description.

The Create Alignment tool can be used to create and stake a polyline that you define. It can contain lines and arcs but it currently doesn't allow point names to be directly entered but rather selected from the list of points.

Good morning folks!!
First, let me thank you for your replies.
Second, About 20 mins after the original post was put up, Shawn Billings called me. A MAJOR problem was that my touch screen had gone to the Netherlands (did not even leave a note). It was at about 50% capacity. He instructed me that IF the touch screen gets "out of touch", to press the AV button, at the top of the screen, four times in a row. NOW touch screen works right.
I would PREFER to be able to enter points, in a "Normal" format. Instead of selected from a list.
But, having the touch screen back, helps measurably.
It's raining here. Working on it.
Thanks
Nate

Adam, there is a minor bug there, in my version. I did what you said.
Mine is a 4 way TOGGLE.
Name
Name, Code
Name, Code, Description
__ Name, Code, Description

Just like that. What I am now using is number 4. It's identical to number 3, but the text is shifted over.... And, it does not show DEFCODE, after the point numbers. And, it limits the display of the point description to some 12 characters.

But, the MAP screen remains DEFCODE on everything.

Thank you,

Nate

Nate, for the MAP control, go to Collect Preview Screen, Select View (at the bottom), Select Point Attributes, Turn off Codes and Turn On Point Description. You can control a lot of other things as well in this screen. I typically have Current Position On (unless I'm at my desk looking at a job far away, then I turn it off, so that zoom extents works properly), Base Position, and Point Name. I generally have everything else turned off for my purposes.
