J-Field 4 seems to make my LS+ run hot?

I had to send my unit in for repair and they upgraded my J-Field. I noticed while at work yesterday that it was very hot on the right side all day? It was 102 outside, but I've been using the LS for 4+ years and it was abnormally hot and only on the right side. I'm always careful to not lay it in direct sunlight or cover it up in the sun and all that. Anyone else notice this or can you suggest some settings I need to check out to make sure I'm not over taxing the unit? Thanks.

You are overtaxing it. Them east Oklahoma hills, and the kiamechi mountains are doing it!! (Grin)

Do you have a laser dot infrared temperature meter?
This could help quantify things.

Make sure that you have Overheat message and Power Off at Overheat checked on. Tap Home button, home screen 2, System, and Customize to find these settings.

Thanks. I do have these options on. Again today, this puppy was hotter than a firecracker! Is nobody else noticing substantial increase in heat?

I was in the field on Tuesday in Dallas. No shade, temps got to 108°. I was dragging, but I was surprised that both the LS Plus and Triumph-3 base were still relatively cool. It worked longer and hotter than I wanted to. There might be something going on with your unit...

If you tap on the battery icon you will get open a statistics screen where temperature graphs for the last 30hours are present for all temp sensors in the unit.
