JMT and the Triumph 3NR

I recently purchased A Triumph 3nr. I downloaded JMT-R to a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5g phone.
When I try to connect to the receiver I get a message that the receiver is not authorized.
What do I have to do to get things working. Do I have to buy the full functional version
of Javad mobile tools and what is the difference between the versions. I have an older phone,
a Galaxy S9, with JMT-R version 4.4.5 that will connect to the 3NR and appears to work but
has no triumph 3NR in the antenna list.

Steve, did you get your problem fixed?
How do you like the 3NR?
Do you have any experience with the T2?
Similarities/Differences?
I am interested in the satellite based corrections (I can't think of the name), are you using them?
Thanks for your time.

Bill,
I have a T3NR. So far I've been happy with it. Looks like they just got the firmware for the IMU added on the latest version of JMT. I will say JMT has some bugs but they seem to be working on it. It's frustrating when you are used to some features of J-field that just aren't there (or there yet) with JMT, but for an affordable package its tough to beat. I use a LS+ T3 setup day to day working for the state, and purchased a t3NR for my personal business.

I fired up JMT one day last week when I had a half hour or so and I'm not the sharpest bulb on the tree, but dang if I couldn't even get a .txt file imported. It was NOT user friendly and as intuitive as I hoped... we shall see.

Part of my issues have been learning android OS as I'm an apple guy. The scoped vs non scoped storage thing really hung me up. I'm using the opposite of what's recommended, I think non scoped storage and have had much better luck. If they could at least incorporate pages into JMT to handle multiple coordinate systems the way that J field does, I'd be a much happier camper...

On the TXT import were you having trouble finding the file or it not importing properly?

Not importing. I put in all the required setup parameters (delimiter, etc) and found the file. Like you, the android setup is cumbersome to me. I was able to find it and select it and it just did not seem to import. I had no points in the list or on the map. I haven't had any more time to mess with it yet.

Just getting started with JMT. I like it so far. When JMT first hooks up to the T3NR it shows satellites in all four constellations while autonomous. When it switches to a float
solution Galileo and BeiDou drop out and my final fixed solution is GPS and Glonass only. Am I missing a setting in JMT?

Yes there is a setting that will show you all 4 constellations.

Go to Settings from the home screen and scroll down to Show Satellites Number as.

Attached are screenshots showing the settings I am using. I think I am OK but still no luck with Galileo and BeiDou

I've tried to use JMT for the past hour or so. I'm waiting on support to enable my OAF for JPPP on the T3NR. Either way, JMT keeps dropping bluetooth connection with the T3NR??? This is frustrating. Is anyone else just repeatedly losing connections?

I’m really wanting my T3NR to be a viable option in my arsenal. Is there not an easy way to use it as a base and get one for a rover and JMT to DPOS the control points I tie so I’m in SPC?

With my LS+ T3 combo, I setup in less than 10 min and I’m headed to the first section corner. After a couple hours I have tied my control and stop and download and DPOS while I eat lunch. When I go back to finish it’s all relative to my other work in the area.

Is a similar workflow even possible with these new units?

My last try with JMT and the 3NR was using NYSNet in new jersey approximately 600 yards from the NJNT cors (I.D.73) with open sky.
The positions collected look good but JMT was struggling to FIX it would jump between Std and Flt eventually FIX then jump back to
Std or Flt. Using a phone for a collector. Will switching to a tablet help? will a static IP address help?

What antenna do we use post processing Triumph 3-NR files
Did a 2 hour sit on a published monument (13A3 PID KV6942)
Downloaded file with NetView and converted to RINEX with jps2rin
Ortho height 39.220 meters from Data Sheet
Ortho height 39.224 meters from OPUS Shared

DEPOS solution ( I do not see a Triumph 3-NR antenna in the list)
Ortho height 39.208 meters with antenna set to JAVTRIUMPH_2A none
Ortho height 39.283 meters with antenna set to AUTO

OPUS-S solution
Ortho height 39.239 with antenna set to JAVTRIUMPH_2A none
Othho height 39.150 with antenna set to JAVTRIUMPH_3NRA none

Attached are reports. My GPS pole is 2.000 meters with the 1/4 20 adapter

I can't help with the correct antenna type, but I do know that if you use the 1/4-20 adapter that comes with the T2 and the T-LS, you need to add 0.025 m to your pole height. Your processing reports show the ARP height as 2.000m, which is 0.025m too low if you have the adapter installed.
