LS locked up, won't boot up.....

I've had this same scenario happen twice now on my LS. I come in from the field and when I go to turn it back on, the bottom left light just blinks green, red, yellow over and over. The top right light is solid yellow. I've tried hard resetting multiple times with no luck. The last time it just finally came on after many, many hard resets, but today I haven't had such luck - yet.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Anyone have any idea what could be causing it? It was in the mid 90's here for the first time today, but the unit wasn't too hot at all - well no hotter than I was when I came out of the cedar thicket I had her in. ;)

I've had the LS hooked up to the charger for an hour and a half now and both top lights are holding yellow, both bottom lights are holding red. Should be at least one green by now (it had 12+ hours when I turned it off in the field). Me thinks I've got something bad going down here.

Darren;
If you can get the L.S. to boot up have you tried a forced update of the Power Board?
That worked for me a couple of times.

I have had the same issue Darren, I came into the office several times in the morning after charging the LS overnight and see the same lights. Eugene may want to look at your LS on Rams if you can sometime when he is available, he looked at mine and is looking into it. I would take Sean's advice and force update the power board, I did this and it may have helped but I have still had trouble.

One thing I have learned, by having the LS for about 6 mos, is that there are answers. It may take a bit, but, the Javad folks will not leave you high and dry. And, that's a blessing.

Thanks Adam. Will do.
I was able to finally get the LS booted up this morning. Believe it or not, I was desperate to retrieve the data I shot yesterday so I removed the SD card to check what/how much of my job was on it instead of internal memory.
After removing it, I thought what the hell and hit the power button and bang! It booted up fine. I've since replaced the SD card and have since turned the unit on/off approx 10 times without issue. Question is, what/when/where will it lock up like this again?

Support, Software Updates, Settings icon, App Settings, check force. After updating make sure to go back in and uncheck.

You're right on the money there Nate! If something like this happened with my old Topcon equipment it'd be three days before I'd know anything.
This happened on a Friday afternoon and I get suggestions, emails and help by Saturday morning!
Are there issues and hardware problems with these? Yes, of course, but there's more built in these compact units than anything I've ever seen.

Hello Daren, you I do suspect that your SD card may has boot ability that may cause this issue. put SD into PC please and open (for Windows) Disk Management that shows partition information. it looks like

Also I can connect remotely to PC via QuickSupport: http://get.teamviewer.com/javadgnss.
I hope SD card doesn't contains any files traces from Recovery Procedure either.

Eugene, here is a screen shot of my disk management screen like you posted above.
I copied all my data off the SD card onto my PC, then reformatted it (using FAT32 that's what the default came up to). I noticed your screenshot was NTFS, but when I formatted it using that and re inserted it into the LS, it didn't read the card at all so I changed it back to formatting using FAT32.
Everything seems to be booting up correctly now and files are able to be copied and pasted on this SD card.

Adam mentioned another file you might want..it is dated back in April so not sure if it shows what's current or not but I found it on the SD card. system statistic.db3 - it doesn't seem to want to let me attach it here so I've emailed you a google drive link with it attached.

I've also preformed a forced update of the power board.

As far as I see SD card is standard and has not boot ability. SystemStatistic.db3 will not help in this case/scenario. It seems we have an issue on WinCE OS booting stage. Possibly internal memory issue. Maybe ideal situation is to replace your unit and investigate yours for this issue. If it is acceptable, let me to know this while we are trying to reproduce this case. So I can tell RMA team to work with you if needed.
Did you ever did factory recovery? If did - how long time ago? I still suspect memory flash degradation. Recovery Tool may temporary help as it formats internal flash. If you did not recover after the case happened then don't hurry to do it because the less changes in flash the better for investigation. Of course if you have a problem and you need to go in field, then keep system backuped and use latest "recovery tool" from Product's page.

I have not preformed a factory recovery.
I had original emailed RMA about a replacement but then sent another saying it'd been fixed.
However, with your suspicions and the fact this could/may happen again at any time I would be fine with sending it back for investigation and a replacement.
