LS Plus upgrade

I'm not aware of all of the moving parts. However; JAVAD demands money in advance. It appears to me that for an upgrade it should be posable to schedule the upgrade. Once they have cashed the check, they should order the parts, or whatever they need to do, schedule the upgrade, fix the box and ship it back. Anything more than a week at the factory demonstrates a lack of planning and total disrespect for their customer.

I don't think it shows a lack of respect for the customer considering that Javad is giving customers an opportunity to upgrade 8 year old technology for a much lower cost than purchasing new Steve.

I need to say that I love the JAVAD equipment, I think that the performance can't be matched, The support by the 5PLS team can't be beat or even compared. I highly recommend to anyone that will listen that they not only should, but need to purchase the JAVAD system. I am 100% vested and invested in the JAVAD product.

Yes, I agree with you that the upgrade price and opportunity is unimaginably generous and unheard of.

Having said all of that; to require any amount of money, then refuse to schedule the repair is a total lack of user respect. How hard can it be to schedule the upgrade. To require that a customer take a working unit out of production when you know you are going to let it set on the warehouse shelf for an unknown amount of time is just bad business and rude. (In My Opinion.)

I'm not as angry as I sound. One of the great things about JAVAD is that we can have an honest and open discussion and walk away as friends, and feel like we may be heard.

These honest and open discussions on this forum have absolutely helped the evolution of the LS and Javad GNSS, Steve. I know your not angry.

Tomorrow,
Later,
Maybe in a month
Maybe in a few weeks 8-12 that is

All mean the same thing. To others, that is.

Americans think they have different meanings.

I've not traveled abroad. But, I read. And overseas, Mexico, Panama, etc, it's just vague.
Javad has a very out of date ordering system. They got a web site. That's good enough!
Javad has some people on staff, that are culturally from places where time is less important. I think.
You and I might be dancing a jig. But they are going home early, because company is coming over.
They produce a good product. Just not on my schedule.
If you are in hurry, rent one. Or relax!
I think I want to move someplace, like that, where time is less critical!
Please, somebody, tell me where to go!

I forgot to mention that the ability to interface, talk to and communicate directly with the software developers is a benefit that is priceless. Thank you to the JAVAD team!

Well, I spoke too soon. Travel time should have some time added on. My LS + is out there, bouncing around in a fed ex truck. Or, sitting in the truck drivers yard. Or sitting at the Fed ex yard. Or someplace other than here. Add a few extra days. Fed ex is not in any hurry.
Maybe it'll get here. Manyana or whatever words say "not yet, Later".
Next week. Perhaps.

Negative on the paint job. I was referring to the back side, where the additional black box is added that says "Triumph LS Plus". I also had the Rubber hardware button cover replaced. This was due to being afraid I'd cut one of the buttons, on a briar, and that it could compromise the unit. The cut was in the START button.
So, it now has had a facelift. (The new buttons have been re styled) I did not know this when I asked for the new buttons. The bottom buttons were NOT replaced. That is, the little rubber feet that it sits on. They should have been. Not that they survive very long anyway. But, I have a plan to build an aluminum REVERSE cone, to protect the bottom of the unit, as I travel through the briars. But, I have not yet implemented it. It involves a nose cone, a little like a model airplane cowling. Today is MOVING DAY. I move back into the LS PLUS, from the borrowed LS. And, get settings all fixed up.
I have never used the VRS (Via ArDot) before, even through the cell phone. Well, I hope to get that going too.

Got mine back last Weds .... total 31 days from time I sent it to Calif.

LS+ upgrade is awesome, I took some very difficult shots 2-wks before sent the unit off. Never got a single RTK shot on them. I did multiple RTPK locations on each one. I went out this Sat morning and re-shot those stakes. LS+ immediately started getting RTK (anywhere from 1 to 3 engines on each stake). I did multiple locations and all of those checked less than 0.1' from my previous RTPK-only locations. That gives me the "warm & fuzzies" to know that even if I couldnt get the RTK from the LS the multiple RTPK was a confident & reproducible location.

Thanks Javad

Yes it is like night and day and worth the wait was is not?. I had an LS for a few years & recently purchased an LS+ to go along with it. Now it is a fight to see who gets the plus. Getting ready to send my LS back for an upgrade, so that gives me an idea of how long I am going to have to wait.
