Micro SD card, in the back of the LS

I have been storing my jobs, on the 8 GB micro SD card.
Shawn says it's a possible glitch source, in that it has to read/write to an EXTERNAL memory.
Anyway, can I put a 64 GB card in it? or a 128?

Will that slow it down any?

Would any of you care to comment... are you storing jobs on the SD card?

Thanks,

N

What files exactly are you storing on the SD card? Screenshots, photos and GNSS data? I don't believe that there are an known performance issues with this.

The database files are always stored in the Internal Memory and there are no options to change this.

You aren't manually moving files from the Internal Memory to the SD card are you?

The following items can be configured to be stored on the SD Card which is no problem:

The database files must remain in the Internal Memory.

I'd like to put the SW 1/4 of the State of Arkansas, (USGS maps) into the LS, and the SW 1/4 of the State GE images, into the LS, and NOT have to monkey with them, but just have them stored on some sort of memory stick.... I don't want to monkey with adding in, and removing just a few at a time... Just load 'em all up, and go.
Turn one, or the other on, anytime.... You know, convenient!
Is this possible? Thanks,

ANOTHER possibility, would be to get LARGE USB memory sticks, and have some sort of alogrythm, that allows me to SELECT an area, and it loads up all the plats, off the memory stick, for that area, (Within 10 mi radius).
Townships are 6 mi x 6 mi. Some Jobs, it's just fantastic to tie in 5 or 10 township corners, to develop search locations.... And having the plats as BACKGROUND, would be great.

I sorta think I do have USGS georeferenced... It's the program that @Mark Silver sells. It's called AllTopoProV.7

It's got more bells and whistles that I'm used to...
