I'm having trouble keeping up with all the changes introduced into J-Field over the last several months, so please forgive me if my questions have already been answered. My first one: what's the 4-arrow box in the upper left corner of the stakeout guide screen below? I tried both on and off, but didn't see anything different.

When it is ON you can pan around the map . When OFF it locks the current position to the middle of the map

Got it, thanks!

Another thing with regard to staking that I may not be doing efficiently: in the guide screen, when I want to change the stakeout point, I've been hitting the Back button, then the Back button in the staking screen, then the Select Point button to change the point number. It works, but it's a lot of keypresses. Is there a faster way? Also, once I change the point number and hit the Next key to get to the staking screen, the focus is on the Back button rather than the Start button. This focus problem pertains to the collect screen, too -- shouldn't the focus always go to the Start button when entering these screens so the user can press the hard Check key instead of having to hit the touchscreen?

I prefer the "From Map" traverse mode. Pan to and highlight the point you want to stake and then press Next to select it. I have also requested that Point Name user button be improved so it can be used to select a new point to stake.

We have Start and Stop hardware buttons so you can press those.

That works better in theory than in practice, at least for me. I hold the pole with my left hand and operate the LS with my right. I can put my fingers behind the unit to push the right-side hardware buttons with my thumb, but I'm not enough of a contortionist to do that with the left-side buttons. And since I use a quick-release adapter, if I try to push the left-side buttons without any backup, the unit spins on the adapter.

Ok I think this a reasonable request. The check hardware button is larger and easier to press. I added this item to our list.

The Point Name whitebox has been changed to Target Name in the Stake screen. When it is added you choose rather to select points from the list or to key in the point name:

To change this behavior after you have selected it, you must remove and then re-add this button.
