No Connection - 2

Gentlemen,

The last several updates have left me unable to start the base. Using the LS and T2.

I follow my typical start up procedure:
1 Set up base and radio
2 Start and LS and create project
3 Connect rover to base (bluetooth connection appears operational)
4 Set a point (usually autonomous)
5 Start base

The last step is where the problem is initially noticed. On the setup screen we have the option to modify the base/rover settings in a box in the lower left of the screen. More than half of the parameters change from yellow to red. Also the base/rover UHF connection status box, just above the base/rover configuration settings indicates OK on the right antenna and a dash on the left antenna. I presume the antenna icon shown on the left is the base...

A number or actions have resolved the problem. At least twice I cleared NVRAM and it fixed the problem. Last night (after the most recent stable branch J-Field Update) clearing NVRAM would not solve the problem.

Next I usually recall and verify the setup for rover and base are correct. I apparently don't understand the way this should work. Tapping the base/rover box in the lower left corner of the setup screen should sync the setting between the rover and base. When I tap this box, go through the setting, they are all correct (yet most parameters are red).

What I end up doing is a convoluted attempt at recalling the base setup and (last night the base transmission rate was set to 1 Hz) re-sending with the correct configuration. I've also noticed the antenna height of the rover and base are not stable. They either change or are set to zero.

Could someone enlighten me on the proper way to verify the base settings and how to change them if incorrect. The way I am going about it must be embarrassingly incorrect. It typically takes 30 plus minutes of failed attempts to get this working.

Hi Jim, have you reviewed what I wrote in the Quick Start Guide? These questions are explained there:
