On the rounding of numbers, in J-field

When performing stakeout, and the distance is long, it reverts to a rounded number. This results in extra work for me.
I want to be ABLE to see all the digits. Out to 2 decimal places.
At any time. Including, when I am far from the point I'm "staking", I want to see the whole digit, out to 2 decimal places.
Just the other day, I was tying into 2 section corners. I had tied the one, and was tying the other. It was a fence corner. I had a previous surveyor's dimension between them. The fence corner was broken down. I set a pin to HOLD the position. I wanted to set it at the SAME distance between them, as previous surveyor, and to help me find the post hole. BUT the LS said 1.02 miles! I needed the distance between them, to be MORE accurate.
I could have sat there, got a nice confirmed 600 epoch shot, on a temporary spot. Then, inversed it, and finally got it. It was a multipath environment. I kind of gave up, and set it. Now, I wish I'd moved it 0.30' from where I did set it.

Another case, I was staking lots, all 100' wide, at perpendicular. I set it to STAKE TO LINE by 2 pnts. I wanted to be able to stake one lot, then the next, as I just needed a series of lines, 100' apart and parallel. As the offset distance grows, then, it only displays to the closest tenth. I was setting the witness pins. I did not want that. I needed it to display to the hundredth.
IF the offset displayed the distance to the hundredth, All the way to 9999.99', then, at that point, it lost one digit, to show 10000.1' we would be fine. Same with stationing. I often use station, and offset, to SEARCH, for obscure monuments. I need that to display to the hundredth, up to 10000 feet.
I was searching monday, for a lost monument, at some 648.62'. BUT it would only display 648 or 649 for the station.
Maybe the white TIC TAC TOE button would do it.... But that thing does funny thing, when storing the individual shot, that I have not quite got figured out. It gives it a long funky point description. I need to be able to RESET stuff, that has been torn out, even though I'm at station 2685.29' and offset 0.05' or whatever.

When you work in the PLSS (Public Land Survey System) you memorize the following numbers:
165' 330' 660' 990' 1320' 2640' 3960' 5280, 10660', 7920, 9240', 10560'
As you work, you don't want the LS to go to 1.2 Mi, because it messes up your ability to search at exactly 1.25 miles, or 10660'. You are in stakeout mode, BUT you are not trying to set a corner. You are using it to search, for the next corner.
An ok workaround, would be to PRESS the white button, and be able to configure it, to:
ALWAYS display to 0.01'. (That's 0.01 feet.)
or
ALLOW rounding, and display in miles, or meters, or yards.
Hold the white button down, for a long time, And configure comes up.
I'm off to the woods.
Thanks for being the MOST listening GPS company out there.

Nate, if you press the hardware action button while in the Stake or Collect Action screen it will explain all the white boxes and the values will be displayed with more digits beyond the decimal place.

On a related note, I'd like to reiterate my request that the confidence and consistency display use a fixed decimal format. Trying to track those numbers when they keep jumping around between 0, 1 and 2 decimal places is really annoying.
