Please HELP, my T2 is receiving data on limited Sat bands

Adam, I'm 99% sure the problem is with the LS not the T2. I would try "Reset to Factory Image". I tried resetting the general group profile and it did not fix it.

Jim, I connected to your crtn. It has a very long base line but tracks gps, gal, bdu, glo. When I set it to your base and go in to remote base it drops most of the signals on your T2. I think your T2 needs an rma. I will get one created and email it to you.

Adam, I think J-Field is just greying the other signals. Check in Netview to confirm. I would try resetting the LS to its factory image.

It doesn't take long to do.

Jim, power off the LS. Then power on, when it boots you will see little house icon on the bottom of the touch screen. When you see that tap the home hardware button. Then tap software recovery, tap check, and load.

How do you explain it only showing 2 satellites in the satellite screen for the LS right now but the home screen says 25. There is defectively something wrong with the LS.

Jim, I took a look, the radio frequency, channel bandwidth and broadcast period were wrong for your radio settings. You definitely don't want the radio broadcast period set to 0.2.

Also you had the external antenna selected on the LS. Is it actually connected because it was not working.

I think we need to see on Netview to understand why it isn't tracking all the signals.
Hi Matt, I don't know why I constantly am required to modify these settings. Set the broadcast period to 2 with data up sampling?

I failed to install the external UHF antenna. Right now the base radio is about 10 ft from the LS. For whatever reason the LS doesn't pick up the UHF radio unless I have installed the external antenna, and then only line of sight, even at close range.

How can I give you access to Netview?

The settings get set to the defaults when you clear the NVRAM on the base. Broadcast period can be 1 or 2 seconds.

Start with retting the LS to the factory image.

Hi Matt,

You would need to start a TeamViewer session to give access to Netview. You could also just capture a screenshot of the Main screen so we can see what signals are being tracked.

I want to see if resetting the LS to the factory image will fix the problem first though.

It Doesn't appear that my replies are posting. The bottom line is:

Matt, how do I provide access for you to view the T2 config in NetView?

I just checked and tapping on the satellite status page advances to the sky plot. This page seems to jive with the home page.

When reconfiguring the T2 to receive position data from the max constellations we are required to enter a Greis statement on the command line. Not sure how this would directly impact the LS.

Thanks again to all for your help!

Very good, I understand and will wait for your reply.

Jim reboot the LS. While the splash screen is displayed press the hardware Home button to access the boot menu. Then choose "Reset to Factory Image". This should not delete any of your files or settings.

The command changes the L1 center frequently. When I checked your T2 it was still set at the default value of 1575 so it never got changed.

Jim, is this T2 out in the open?
Hi Adam,

It's in the backyard. I would not want to leave it in the front yard. This particular area has always had issues seeing max satelites. My concern is that the signals page on the T2 were blank for all but 4 frequencies.

I was thinking you just needed to see it operating, so I placed on a table.

If you need access in an area where there are unobstructed, 360 views of the horizon or similar, I will need to set up in a location several miles from current location. I am happy to do this. Just let me know when. I can have it up tomorrow afternoon. I will need to wait with the setup.
