Hi,
I've been lurking here for a little while trying to gather info on the Triumph LS for a possible purchase.
I'm based in the Scotland and the only dealer in the UK is in the south of England, but they don't have a Triumph LS and don't seem keen on getting one to demo to me - they said they've only sold one unit to a land surveyor in quite a few years.
I've got a few questions and wondered if the collective knowledge could help me out :-
From the point of view of warranty, using a Triumph LS as base and rover would be the most benficial scenario since the LS has a 3 year warranty. The LS also has more satellite constellations as standard so the Triumph 1-M ends up around the same price if you add everything.
Is this a recommended scenario - I think I've read of slight issues with using an LS as a base and rover, so just wanted to check - or is the preferred base/rover solution a Triumph 2/Triumph LS or Triumph 1-M/Triumph LS (I'd prefer the radio to be built-in rather than an external but could live with it being external)
Is the spread spectrum radio better than the standard UHF radio for RTK applications, especially beast mode?
Is the LS/J-Field fully setup for use in the UK for Ordnance Survey grid coordinates?
Is the DPOS facility setup for use in the UK for processing OS grid coordinates?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
