Matt, Shawn,
Thanks for the rapid fire replies!
I apologize in advance for wearing you out on this topic, but I really want to understand.
I've studied the info available when pressing the help button.
Again, The unit was showing 10+8 when I captured the chart below:
Is the following a correct interpretation for the first two lines of this SAT chart?:
SV GPS1 is at 21⁰ and rising, Azimuth bearing from current position is 150⁰, Green "0" in SS column indicates CA/L1 data is being used in calculating autonomous position, L1…L2C signal strength indicators in red indicate more than 6dB degradation, and Blue signal strength indicator in L5 column indicates it is within 3dB of expected strength. So, conclusion is that Javad T-LS is removing enough degradation in L1 signal to use it in autonomous position, but L5 signal is not being used because the T2 is not L5 capable.
SV GPS7 is at 67⁰ and rising, Azimuth bearing 346⁰, Blue "58" indicates this SV is used in calculating the RTK position using CA/L1 and L2C measurements, Red numbers in L1 and L2C columns indicate more than 6dB signal degradation. So, my conclusion is that Javad T-LS is removing enough degradation in L1 and L2C signals to use this SV in an RTK position.
And so on.....for the other lines. The main thing for quick reference is that numbers in the SS column that are blue indicate RTK, green is Autonomous, red is not used, and grey is unhealthy.
Counting Blue numbers in the SS column should yield the number of SATs being used in calculating the current RTK position (
SATs currently in common with the base unit?). In this case, the count is 11. The T-LS was showing 10, but in the time between seeing that number on the collect action screen and pressing the button to display the chart above it changed from 10 to 11.
Counting SVs in gray text in the SAT column should yield the number of SVs that should be visible in the area currently occupied but blocked by obstructions. In this case, the count is 8, which agrees with the "+x" number shown on the collect action screen.
Is all this correct?
Does "--" in a column indicate no data?
Best Regards,
Todd
