SD Card Format

Did you try using it in the LS and it didn't work? I would think it would come formatted FAT32 as is needed for the LS.
Tim was shipped a bad SD card. I have had two customers experience this in the last month. Michael Glutting said replacements will be shipped to them but for the time being I told Tim he could get a different one and format it.
A new SD card bought from a local store should already be formatted.

Well...my first post on here was a flop...
So...just tried it again...because I could see the card data when I stuck it in there.
I went out back and stored a few points and all the raw data and photos stored properly to the card.
I think the culprit was two days ago I had the LS set up to store to the internal memory and had no SD card in the unit.
I was storing a "photo record" with the white box button and using the PP options button to store and accept the shots. (screen shot attached)
It appears that even though it was set to store to Internal memory...storing the shot this way would still attempt to write to the card that was not there. And so i got back with no raw data or photos.
Yesterday...same scenario...no SD card in the LS...and I had the boundary profile set to store to the internal memory. I used the "Attach" button to store a photo, and just "Accept" to store the shots. This gave me photos and raw data to process.
Long story short...looks like this SD card that I purchased works just fine...I'll keep an eye on it.
I'm a three week old user...and I can literally say I am super impressed!
Ive been using GPS for over 15 years and I've never seen anything like this.
Probably surveyed over 40,000lf of property line now since I got it.
As a small business owner this thing is off the chart!
