Setting Up TCP Corrections through a WiFi Network

Good stuff Matt.

I may have missed it, but users will need a static IP address at the base. This excludes MiFi devices unless you have static IP established for the device from your carrier.

I actually do not have a formal static IP address for my cable router, however, the cable company has not changed my IP address in over a year. So I technically do have a static IP address but it is not guaranteed by the provider.

I don't think you would necessarily have to have a static IP address at the base but if you don't you may have to change IP address that you are connecting to in J-Field each time your modem or MiFi device reconnects. I don't have a MiFi device so I haven't tried it.

Hi Matt,

If we want to test a 0.1 sec update rate on the LS, then a software update is required, correct? Netview allows the change to the TS but no way to modify the LS settings below 0.2 seconds.

Michael Stazhkov confirmed that the GNSS processor is currently limiting RTK rate to about 7 Hz so setting it to something greater than 0.2 won't show much of an increase yet. I used the development code (not available to the public) to send a command setting the connection period to 0.1 seconds to test if 10 Hz was possible.

Thanks, but then i try configure base bosition in Base/Rover setup, J-Field show a message, that external modem isn't paired - of corse, uhf-modem not connected by receiver. Because in Base/Rover menu base won't started.
Other way - Setup -> Edit -> Operating Mode -> RTK Base -> Base Position ->Select Point and can swich back - base position change in a receiver.
Who knows, when TCP corrections can be configured use J-Field for Triumph-2 (similar configurations TCP/TCPO tabs in NetView)?

You can just ignore the error that the modem is not connected for now and still use this method. It is planned to add support for setting up TCP corrections in J-Field.
