I have a dumb and related question. I often lean the LS over a fence post, or some other object. I allow non corrected tilt shots over to 35 degrees.
Where is the specific point of measurement, on the LS? Is it on the top of the LS, bottom of the LS, or some distance above it? I've been intending to set a nail in the top of a post, take an observation plumb, then lean the LS over, and find out for myself where it's at. But, I haven't done it yet. What I mean, is if the bottom of the LS is sitting on a peg, and you lean it to 35 degrees, how much does the horizontal position change?
I often lean the LS out over a creek. Or a fence corner, or some other object.
Thank you,
Nate
