Sims not working

In 2014 I purchased cell service from AT&T, it worked ok until July 2019. We changed the SIMS 2 times tried both slot 1 and 2 but could not get it to work. In the last year I have been tethering my cell phone "which works".
I purchased a US MOBILE SIMS card and found that I have the same problem. On my GSM screen it shows power "on" SIM 1, SIM card "ready", network "limited service", data link "not active" it shows the NTRIP Client along with IP address. I posted this last year and got one response but didn't understand the solution. I am sure this is a glitch in the LS I may have a button pushed somewhere that causes this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dale.
Your T-LS has old version of software (Windows CE) and you have to migrate your device to Linux.
But as you have old hardware revision of T-LS I suggest to try Linux Live SD card before migration. You can insert the Live SD card to your LS and try to boot using the latest Linux version. If the device will work normally you can safely migrate it to Linux. If not - just remove the SD card from the slot and reboot back to Windows CE.

You have to check:
- if your device can boot using the image. To be sure check versions in Support -> Software Updates (J-Field should be 3.0.7.268, Linux OS - 4.4.190.7).
- is touch screen is working.
- check Hardware versions (My TLS -> Hardware Versions). All versions should be available (no N/A).
- check Device Status (My TLS -> Device Status). All should be green (green text "GOOD" on big button).

If everything is OK - you can migrate your device to Linux (System -> Migrate to Linux OS).

I want to thank Michael Stazhkov for helping me migrate to Linux, he showed me how to make a Linux book disk on a SD card and check if my system would work with Linux as I had never upgraded the screen. The upgrade went flawless but I have issues in that I can't get my WI-FI to come on. Can anyone help with this problem as I will need it tomorrow when I go to work. I will be reading the posts to see if I can find a solution.

Thanks
Dale
