T1M+ with LS+ on release

Is the release version of Jfield for the LS+ able to use the T1M+ reliably as a base? Have had a T1M+ for a year and have only been able to get it to work with the LS+ on prerelease. However some routines crash the LS+ into an unexpected reboot (video stakeout is one) and I loose connection the the T1M+. After 2 times of hiking back up a mt. to reconnect, I quit trying and it has been a paperweight since.

Wow. That is terrible. I hate to hear that.

Hi Duane,

It is not possible for the LS crashing to cause the base to stop transmitting corrections. If the LS crashes you do not need to walk back to the base for the LS to receive corrections again after it reboots.

Sounds like a communication problem at least on the connection issue. Sounds like you are working in the mountains. Communication is always tough in these areas. Are you using TCP connection or UHF?

UHF, always. Mostly on wooded boundary surveys in mountains, The issue is with the LS+on prerelease and the T1m+base. Only way to get the T1m+ to work is if the LS+ is on prerelease. My old T1M with the LS+ on Release works very reliably with no issues.

You might want to check into a repeater. Whether you are using the onboard radio or an external radio sometimes you need a little help getting into some of these remote areas with UHF. I am sure the person you bought your equipment from could help you figure this out. If not Randy G. the salesman in my area is good at helping figure out a solution. I would also hope that JAVAD has a solution or is working on a solution for this, if it is as I hear you describe it.
