I think the rugged professional device will typically have a longer battery life than a standard smart phone which would limit its uses.
Hopefully better outdoor visibility too.

I am seeing Moto G has 3 days of battery life phones.
I think there is a VERY real potential for common cell phones to become hardware devices, with the appropriate APP, from JAVAD.
I would like to be able to use a cell phone, as a data collector.

My phone is a ruggedized (Kyocera Duraforce). Works well as phone or data collector. Battery life and overheating are the big issues.

I like the built in DC in the LS unit. I would like a bigger screen and brighter.
