I just saw my HPT435BT stop broadcasting after 17 minutes with 5 Hz corrections after I hooked it up to test it. I'm trying to figure out why now.
Can you point me to some information on updating the 35w radio firmware? I have never done that before.Thank you for reporting this issue.
It was confirmed. Fix will be provided next week. It will be new version of firmware for radio.
You'll need ModemVU, available as a download from the main Javad site. Download the instructions, too (I don't remember if they're in the ModemVU zip file or not), and don't ignore the instruction to run ModemVU as Administrator -- I banged my head against that particular wall for about half an hour before finally paying attention. Can you point me to some information on updating the 35w radio firmware? You'll also need to download the latest firmware (though it sounds like you'll want to wait until they fix the shutoff bug first).
Once you get ModemVU talking to your radio, updating the firmware is pretty straightforward.
Does the bug affect all Javad radios, or just the HPT35BT?Thank you for reporting this issue.

it is a USB cable but a serial connection

Make for sure that you have the antenna connected to the radio before you power it up to do the updates in modemvu.
