I tried to submit files yesterday and it was down...still down at the moment? Any progress on getting it back up?

I first ran into this on June 8, I tried multiple times everyday since with no luck. I'm going to have to figure out some other way to get my work done. It would be nice to hear something about when this will be resolved.

That's so good to hear, John. DPOS is such a wonderful feature that could be utilized in so many additional ways in Javad's product offerings.

Go to files icon/browse files and search for your project folder. It may be under internal memory or SD card. Find jdata/maps and select the project name and open. Go to Raw Data folder and you will see your base session file if you actually downloaded it when you stopped the base.

Copy it to thumb drive or through RAMS you can remotely downloaded straight to desktop.

How to convert it to rinex is in other posts. Responding on phone so apologies for not linking it.

Hello, I will try to layout the workflow that has worked for me, especially on large base files.

  1. First you will copy your base file from your LS, LS+ or BASE(t3 T1M or T2) it should ba at file ending in .jps (example is 51_075711.jps, where 51 is the point #)
  2. get the converter program from the JAVAD website, it is an .exe file so you will possibly have to disable your virus software. here is the link: https://download.javad.com/software/JPS2RIN/jps2rinSetup_2.1.237.exe
  3. install the software on your computer.
  4. open the software and at the bottom select the input file (this should be your base file from above step)
  5. make the following selections onon the program:
    Screenshot 2023-06-14 100456.jpg
  6. select the output file location
  7. then hit convert, this should create a few files, the file you want to upload to OPUS will end in o example is 511580.23o
  8. goto the opus web site : https://geodesy.noaa.gov/OPUS/ see screen shot below also
    Screenshot 2023-06-14 102120.jpg
  9. choose you o file, choose your antenna (for T# is is listed in the image) it should also come up in the converter program), put in antenna height in meters, enter you email address and finally choose what type of static you are uploading.
  10. you should get indication the file uploaded successfully ad in a few min. get the results back in an email.
  11. either translate points in CADD or in the LS (see instructions from Shawn for using M-local) in previous posts.
Hope this helps.

DPOS Interruption:
We are working on restoring ASAP our DPOS service that was interrupted by a system upgrade.

Meanwhile, free post processing may be accessed from OPUS at https://geodesy.noaa.gov/OPUS/
Hello John and glad to see you on the forum. Thank you for posting something indicating that the issue is being worked on by Javad GNSS. Thank you also for speaking with me last week on the telephone when I called concerning the silence from management regarding the DPOS blackout.

It's been more than 2 weeks since we first noticed the effects of "a system upgrade" which appears to remain more of a system failure. Can you, or anyone in management describe what exactly is meant by an upgrade, and when it realistically will be completed? If the entire code for Justin has to be rewritten as part of the system upgrade, and tested, please tell us. I'm still happy to help test and provide feedback, if asked. In any case, and as we spoke about last week, I think it would make for much improved customer relations if management could be more up front with us and tell us when to realistically expect DPOS's rise from the ashes.

As for news concerning OPUS, I've learned over the years never to hold my breath, BUT... I did recently read this:
Regarding M-Pages. We have new folks dedicated to M-PAGES. It was presented at the FIG conference on May 31 that OPUS-S BETA will include M-PAGES by the end of June. That may slide a bit but I know they are close.

M-PAGES, in case there's anybody reading unfamiliar, is NGS's long over due acceptance that there are additional GNSS satellites besides GPS that should be incorporated into OPUS (static) processing since it was first revealed 22 years ago. More information on its next evolutionary step is in a webinar given almost a year ago for anybody searching on Multi-GNSS Positioning with the New M-PAGES Software: https://geodesy.noaa.gov/web/science_edu/webinar_series/multi-ngss-world-at-ngs.shtml. Two months after he gave his webinar presentation in August, Bryan Stressler went to work for Garmin. Best wishes to him in his new career and many thanks for his work at NGS on M-Pages!

Nothing new to see here yet, but check it out in a couple of weeks (or whenever) it actually goes live for public testing: https://beta.ngs.noaa.gov/OPUS/

Friends, I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not holding my breath that DPOS will be back online any time soon. I'm going to start developing a new process for getting my projects on the NSRS (National Spatial Reference System) other than DPOS.

DPOS is such an elegant tool. I hope to see it back again someday. I think many of us would be willing to pay an annual subscription for it if that would bring some incentive to restoring it.
