Exporting a day's work

On a job that spans several days, how do you export just one day's points? I'm thinking it might be nice to have a By Date button on the What to Export screen.

It would also be good to have a summary page on the pdf report. Something like this.

Start time (local): 07/23/2016 18:41:22
End time (local): 07/23/2016 20:58:56
Duration: 2:17:34

# New points stored this session: 172
Points stored per hour: 75.0
New points stored this session: Base 2016-07-23,2,51,1356-1523,99001

There is a Date filter in the Points screen that you can use to do this:

Then set the Export Range to List:

Usually I just find it easiest to export all the points in chronological order and then manually delete the points I've already downloaded from the text file.

Thanks for the replies. I just discovered the Batch Export button, and being lazy, it really appeals to me to be able to export the day's work with the touch of one button. I understand Batch Export will use the settings of the last export I did. So I am looking for a way to have "today" be the default without filtering points or choosing pages. is there a way to do that?

You would just need to set up all the various exported files to export by List and then still use the Date filter.

What I tend to do, is to just look at the numbers.. ie day one is 1-75, day two is 76-120, and day 3 is 121-141.
such like. But, the date filter works. It would be interesting to have a simple job display, that shows all the work, by date... that you can select. This would be just handy. Not necessary. Just not require much thought.... Otherwise, you have to know the date... of interest.

Is it just me or does it seem like most times you try to select a range of points on a multi-day job when you export you get more points than you selected in the listed range of points? It's not a big problem but something I seem to stumble on regularly. I'll admit to still not being the best navigator within the routines.

In the testing version you can delete all items by page on the page screen. When you get filled up just export then delete the items and rename. I suspect it will be in the next release version update.
