How do you tell how much room is in the LS?

It becomes an issue especially, as we use 1hz rates, at the base station. I have set mine back to 30" rates, because my LS is acting sluggish... Slowed key responses. Of course, I am on the "Testing" version, Latest and greatest. I have asked this before... As I recall, it is getting worked on...
Another question, is there any advantage to putting a HIGH capacity Micro SD card in the LS? IF so, what brand, and specs would you recomend? I like my machine lean and mean, but I tend to accumulated jobs in it, that I work on regularly.

It's Friday here. For all the programmers, Thanks for all you do.

You can see the available memory and RAM by clicking the setup status icon found at the top of the home screen:

Low memory would typically not cause it to be sluggish but low system RAM would.

You can also click a drive in the Files screen and choose "Storage Properties" from the additionals actions menu to see the storage space.

Nate. I am worried about the "sluggish" issue. It can be some background task which is consuming CPU power. Probably it is an old or current DPOS task.
You can try to back up all you data and then clean up your old projects and old DPOS tasks.
If anyone know how to reproduce the issue please tell us.

When keying in pt descriptions, there is delayed response.
That is a more precise description of the problem. I'll do a full backup when I get home. Then maybe a reboot. Go from there.

If the only time it is slow is when entering text from the keyboard, I suspect it is because you have many entries in your keyboard dictionary. Can you upload or email us your KeyboardDictionary.db3 file found in:

Internal memory 13.83 of 14.31
SD card 6.17 free of 7.31
System Ram 646 free, of 834
I like it so good, Maybe I'll buy another LS! (wink)

OK, Matt, I emailed it to you.
Nothing like an LS.
Nate

This doesn't seem to be the problem. Your KeyboardDictionary.db3 only has 110 records in it and doesn't cause any lag with the keyboard when I load it into my LS. Are you still having this problem and are you trying to key in the point description while you are surveying a point?

I searched these forums to try to see how to determine the memory status in my LS and found this thread. For the life of me I cannot find the "setup status icon found at the top of the home screen" and am expecting to be kicking myself when I find out how easy it is.

David, that screenshot is a little dated. It isnt shown in the setup icon anymore (3rd from right on top). Go to Files, browse files, select drive, tap context menu, and then storage properties.
