Recently, I've done some work where DPOS is SHIFTING my base a few hundredths, but I don't want it to. I want to STAY with the coords from the 1st day's dpos. (This is a job with over 20 base sessions) So, I'm winding up with coords of differing values for the base.
I thought I had assigned the base value. (When I selected the base station point)
I tried to use the PLANE looking thing, to ASSIGN the base values, but when I select MANUAL or AUTOMATIC, it locks up, and I have to hold the on button down, forcing a shutdown. Restart, and things are still 0.09' different.
So, I went to the GEAR for dpos settings, and told it to only process BASE to ROVER, and re-dposed it. NOW, the base coord goes back to the original location. That's good. But, now, I loose the freedom to select RTK and PPK. It shows ALL my points as 1-Local. That's not funny. 1-Local should ONLY apply to the BASE station. It is my option for ALL the shots. IF I select RTK, then I get a popup that says "Select RTK coord for ALL points" I should be able to select RTK or PPK for any point I like, without any complicated issies with how the base was derived.
Either 1-Local, Autonomous, or Fixed, from other previous data.
or
"AUTO Select the Best RTK/PPK for all points"
This is troubling. I want to be able to select what I want to select.
So, I have a number of problems. The behavior of DPOS is shifting my base coord, (As though it were an autonomous point) when it should not.
It won't allow me to assign base values, using the PLANE thing.
And, it's lacking that STRAIGHT FORWARD approach.
It's getting too complex.
I want it to always process the BASE to CORS and show the difference, (Like it used to) without using the GEAR settings changer, and selecting the Base to Rover option only.
Anyway, I hope I have worded this well enough, for you to understand it.
And, a grin:
