Incomplete Base-Rover Download

Yesterday I was staking some points for a boundary survey, and this was my second occupation on my base point, so I was using my first adjusted Base point for yesterday's work. Before I take down my base I always bring my LS out near the T2 and use the Base/Rover Setup to reconnect via Bluetooth, Stop and Download the Base point for that session, and wait for the little green download circle to complete, after which I press Done, and then I start the tear down of the equipment.

Today I tried to go into the COGO, DPOS, and selected the Base point for yesterday, and it says that I'm still downloading it???

Okay, I think maybe it didn't complete, so I go and reconnect to the T2 via blue tooth

then I click on Done to get back to the COGO DPOS screen and I click on the Download button, and I get this:

This is no big deal since I was just staking yesterday, but it would not be okay if this was my initial session. Does anyone have a work around when the Base to LS download doesn't complete?

Thanks,
Rory

Pressing Done disconnects the Bluetooth connection between the LS and rover. With the Bluetooth connected you need to press the Download button. So try pressing the Home button rather than Done.

Okay, that worked! Thanks Matt, if you're still on, if I used my adjusted base session as the Base position for my second session, is there any reason to adjust my points in subsequent sessions?

No, it would not have to be adjusted again if you set the base up in the same location and used the adjusted coordinate when you started the base on subsequent setups.

Matt Johnson will probably give you a better answer, but I can "speak from the dirt" and suggest a few answers. I did a job for my dad. He was jumping up and down, wanting to "Get to work". While I was setting up my base.
He's 87 yrs old. So, that's pretty impressive.
So... I forgot, (while arguing with him) to center the tribrach on the point.
(Turned out to be 0.12' off).
I tied several other points, so I knew something was wrong.
While breaking down, I found it. So, I used a compass and box tape, to measure this difference.
Another circumstance, you may want is for is PPS. Post Process Static.
The next big release of Javad LS software, has a very fine option. You can post process, in addition to your rtk data.
To do this, you will want to save the base file, and adjust it, So that you can process your rover file against it.
That's a part of the answer, but there is more. I'm in the parking lot, on my phone, tapping, while my wife gets b'day gifts. So, I thought I'd try to help some.
This next release is gonna be the bomb!

Thanks Nate, very good on your thoughts, especially the distraction during setup. I've already aborted a couple of setups because I'd forgotten to enter a new slant height. . I too am anticipating the release of the Hybrid RTK, since I use either a T-1, or our new T-2 with a one watt radio as a base, and being here in "Penn's woods" I've found myself "running out of string" a few times already. Luckily, I have been able to use a VRS to come to my rescue, but that too is not always an option the further I get into back woods areas.
