Inverse

I just noticed that I can click on the little diagram on the inverse screen and it shows a map with P1 and P2 and a line joining them. Nice.

That map screen has a lot of blank space. Looks like it would be really handy to be able to inverse from point to point to point... by selecting them on that map. It would be great to be able to snap to linework on the map too.

I recently needed to inverse between several points by choosing them from the map. As currently configured, it takes a lot of clicks. I did find the 'Confirm selection' checkbox which saves a few clicks, but the map always reverts to 'zoom to extents' each time a point is selected.

In the Review screen you can draw line between points and then select the line and its bearing and distance will be shown:

Is the distance reported in the Review screen the geodesic length? Looks like it is not grid or ground.

I tried drawing the outline of a building with J-Field. I first drew a line from one building corner to a distant point in the direction of the front wall, then I trimmed that line with a circle around the building corner to get the proper building length. Then I offset the trimmed line with Shift to draw the back wall of the building. Apparently J-Field treated the circle radius as a grid distance, and the Shift distance as a geodesic length. Is there a way to specify types of lengths when drawing?

When I just checked this, it is actually reporting the geodesic length instead of the grid distance as it should be. I'll see if it can be fixed.
