Mounting my wireless connection(harddrive)

I have been fiddling with this for hours. I have supplied my computer's IP address and password, my wireless router's IP address and password, but only receive errors. I have no problems with a USB connection, but, I would like to be able to transfer files wirelessly. Any Ideas?

RAMS Viewer. It's a marvelous interface currently being developed. This is just a quick reply to your question and I'm terribly sorry that I don't have the time at the moment to do more than just answer your question.

Note: RAMS Server will only need to be run once for each time you boot up your Windows machine.

I think Donald was asking how to use Mount Network Share which also works well to transfer files wirelessly. To do this you need to share a folder from your PC.

Here I have created the folder TriumphLS on my Desktop and right clicked on it, selected Properties and then enabled Sharing in the Sharing tab.

Then in the Browse Files screen choose Mount Network Share from the File Operations menu when you are in the System Root directory.

Then enter the network path as shown above along with your Windows account name and password.

Press OK and you should now see this folder shared in the Root Directory where it can be used to import and export files.

Kelly and Javad team: After seeing your short video and reading the announcement, this looks awesome! Is this available to the end users yet? I cannot find the RAMS Server application that you reference in your video.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

That is the link to download the server application so when you install it you are hosting the server on your own computer.

There is a public Javad server available to use at:

No need to download the server application if you want to try this.

Your version of J-Field may not allow DN IP addresses yet so in that case you can use:

Thanks Matt. I would rather use the public server for now...when I go to enter the server address (rams.javad.com) into the LS unit as you have shown above, at this time on my unit the input screen is numerical only for entering an IP address. I am running J-Field version 1.10.3.22066.

I realized that may be the case and edited my post to show the numeric IP address as well.

Great, I was able to get connected and could control my LS from the computer...awesome! I still need to figure out how to access the files on the LS from my computer. When I go to the Files tab, I can't expand the Remote drives folder like Kelly does in the video. Mine looks like this:

You will need to wait for the next version of J-Field to be released. File transfers aren't implemented in the current release version.

Gotcha, thanks for the quick response. This whole package is very impressive... no one else comes even close to offering this kind of customer service and support.

Hi Matt,

I set this up using the Javad server and the ip address you supplied above. It shows both of us as users. Your account is locked, mine apparently is not. Can anyone that logs on the Javad server access my files?

Yes, you have the option to enter a password in J-Field, without one anyone connected to the server could access your LS.

I'm having trouble with Mount Network Share. I've tried following your instructions for setting this up on two different computers. The TriumphLS folder properties looks just like the window you show except that OFFICE is replaced with the respective computer name. One computer says, "People must have a user account and password for this computer to access shared folders." but the other says "People without a user account and password for this computer can access folders shared with everyone."

On both computers I clicked on the Share... button and select Everyone, Add and Share. Change Permission Level to Read/Wirte. Under Advanced Sharing... I clicked Share this folder. In the Advanced Sharing dialog I clicked Permissions and select Allow Full Control.

When I select the shared locations in the Triumph LS, one says "Cannot read folder. Invalid netowork path (53)" and the other says "Cannot read folder (59)".

What am I doing wrong?

By the way, RAMS viewer is amazing.

"Cannot read folder. Invalid netowork path (53)" is a known problem that occurs sometimes due to the Windows operating system. Rebooting the LS usually resolves it. Have you tried rebooting yet? I'm not sure if the cause of "Cannot read folder (59)" is for a different reason.
