Action screens now have six buttons instead of five. The new six button layout affords two more black buttons (permanent buttons) and two more white box buttons (user definable buttons). With the additional black box space, Review, HI and D-SNR buttons were added. Review takes the user immediately to the review screen which allows the user to see details about points and draw lines and circles for graphic CoGo. The HI is great to see on the action screen, instead of the prepare screen. The D-SNR values will become increasingly useful to us in the field as we will be able to see indications of interference to GNSS signals. Now with 10 white box buttons, I will probably not need to keep changing boxes to suit my job. I'll have enough to keep the configured for most of my work.

CTT White Box: When staking a point, if the user has the CTT White Box selected on the Stake Action screen, the button turns green when the LS is pointed within a degree of the calculated direction to the stake point.

Keyboard: The keyboard was the subject of a lot of discussion in another thread, however it is a significant improvement that I thought I'd point out. The four white cells at the top of the screen show the last four text entries entered by the user. This will be improved even more in future versions. But I've already found this to be helpful when using just a few text strings repetitively on a job. Also, one of my personal requests, which was a long press to access special characters, no longer requiring a alternate keyboard. Of course, a big request was removing the need to clear text to start typing. Now, when a user begins typing the existing text is cleared, unless the user presses an arrow key first. Caps Lock is turned on by long pressing the shift key.

Awesome job guys, the recent changes are great. And I want to say no other equipment I have ever used have given me the ability to post a request and it actually happen. It's like I actually have a hand in developing the equipment I use everyday. That's how Javad rolls!

If they keep doing this.... the sky's the limit!!!
I have been surveying all my life. This is the best I have yet seen.

Ditto on the keyboard -- I used the new one for the first time today, and it was much more intuitive.

Having trouble, when I tap the white box to enter code it keeps going to the white box option screen. This is a pain and really slowing me down. Help

Adam,
Go to System under the second home screen, Customize and see what "Long Click Time" is set to. It could be that you are set to "Short" in which case the Long Click (which accesses the white box options screen) will activate in nearly the same time as a regular screen press. I use "Medium" and have not had very many (if any) unintended Long Clicks.

Are you using any of the camera white boxes or do you maybe have a lot of line work loaded into the project?

Not actively using the camera, but it is one of my white box's. Maybe 20 lines imported from a cad file.
